Larrie x Daniel Arnold 2022

Exhibition Identity

Larrie presents its second exhibition with photographer Daniel Arnold: Unless Otherwise Noted which will coincide with Larrie’s presentation of Arnold’s work at NADA New York 2022–New Art Dealers Alliance. Both presentations include never-before-seen works from 2014 to 2021 pulled from Arnold’s extensive archives.

Arnold's commitment to photographing his own environments and ability to capture synchronistic moments, uncanny juxtapositions, and heartbeat expressions is the inspiration behind the identity of the exhibition. Candid note-taking style typography was used throughout the identity, mimicking the images where there is no real arrangement and direction for dramatic effect. The contrast by merging a modern sans serif typeface with note style taken handwriting allows the designs to display a sophisticated way of exhibiting Arnold's work, by also preserving the strange vulnerability and candid elements of the photographs.
