Modula Typographic Study
Zuzana Licko Dyptch Poster Set
Licko's work was a major contribution to the communication process in design during the postmodern era. One of Licko’s most influential time changing fonts of her career was Modula. Digital technology pushed the new aesthetic created by Licko who was one to recognize the technological limitations (dot matrix) of digital technology and embraced her role as a new primitive in the industry.
The two 14x18 Poster Diptych below features personal research and writing displayed onto a typographic poster composed entirely of letters and elements from the typeface Modula. The posters feature the entire alphabet and number system as well as selected glyphs from the type family. Each poster works as a set, as well as apart.
